Fernandez & Wells

14/08/09
Fernandez & Wells have been criticised for their cups of coffee as being too expensive. Yes it may well be, but what the non-coffee connoisseurs don’t know is that all the cups here are made with a mandatory 'triple shots of ristretto' (that’s a hardcore short shot of espresso). There’s no such thing as weak coffee here, it’s always intense and glorious.

BTW, Flat Whites are not listed on their blackboard menu, just ask for it and you’ll always be guaranteed a Class A* cup every time.

Currently reading a book about the Kazakhs. It’s co-written by a friend.

Pastéis de Nata
Obviously very good but if you want the best seek them here

Johanna got me into spotting machines like this- the Synesso
'Bring 'em on and we'll blow them away!'

That makes a Grade A cup like this- I'm smiling on high!

Eccles cake- make sure you floss your teeth, blame the sticky currants. Yum!

Coffee and Walnut Cake

--------

One of the places that you'll most
likely to bump into me, I come here at least once a week.

This is consistently one of the best coffees found in London- go do yourself a favour and treat yourself to a flattie.

Wonderful place. Interior is pure shabby chic. Delicious looking sandwiches, gorgeous cakes and once again we’re spoilt for choice in London on where to venture for that ace cup of coffee.
